The Rolex Datejust is one of the most iconic and beloved Rolex watches ever created. Since the Datejust was launched in 1945 it has remained a timeless classic and is instantly recognizable as an item of quality and functional design.   

This 1970 Datejust ref. 1601 retains its original and uncommon non-luminous silver "pie-pan" dial and original white gold fluted bezel, perfectly suited for everyday wear. This piece would make a great start for a new vintage collector, or be a great addition to an expanding collection. CASE & BRACELET

The strong case is in very clean condition and retains excellent dimensions with thick and symmetrical lugs that show only minimal signs of previous polishing and subtle wear from use. The white gold fluted bezel is very crisp and appears to remain unpolished with shows gentle signs of use present. The original Rolex 6251H rolled-link Jubilee bracelet with 55 end pieces retains 21 links that show very minimal stretch for the style and age of the bracelet and will fit up to a 7 1/4-inch wrist.

DIAL & HANDS

The original silver sunburst non-luminous dial remains bright and in virtually perfect condition, with no damage present and the only element of age being a nominal section of aging below the 7 o'clock which is invisible to the naked eye. The original solid steel non-luminous hands are also in excellent condition and feature some nominal oxidation. The metallic date wheel is original with "open" 6's and 9's.

ACCESSORIES 

None. The watch is keeping time perfectly, backed by a 1-year warranty on accurate timekeeping.
