The Rolex Datejust is one of the most iconic and most beloved Rolex watches ever made, even though the Datejust was launched in 1945 it has remained a timeless classic and is instantly recognizable as an item of refined quality and functional design. The Datejust can be worn just as easily with a suit as it can be with jeans and a tee-shirt.   

This specific 1972 Datejust ref. 1601 retains its original and rare non-luminous silver "pie-pan" dial and original white gold fluted bezel, perfectly suited for everyday wear. This piece would make a great start for a new vintage collector, or be a great addition to an expanding collection. We love the early Rolex Datejust for its simplicity and its classic sophistication.

CASE & BRACELET

The beautiful case is in excellent condition with signs of a light polish in its past and very thick and even lugs. The crisp white gold fluted bezel remains unpolished and shows light signs of previous use. The watch will come supplied on a 2pc handmade leather strap.

DIAL & HANDS

The non-luminous silver sunburst dial is exceptionally well-preserved, with no signs of age or damage. The onyx enameled makers and hands all remain in excellent condition. The metallic date wheel is original with open 6's and 9's.

None. That watch is keeping time and functioning perfectly, previous service history is unknown.
