The Rolex Datejust is one of the most iconic and most beloved Rolex watches ever made, even though the Datejust was launched in 1945 it has remained a timeless classic and is instantly recognizable as an item of refined quality and functional design. The Datejust can be worn just as easily with a suit as it can be with jeans and a tee-shirt.
One of the largest evolutions for the Rolex Datejust model lineup was at the end of the 1970s with the introduction of the first "flat dial" Datejust. The white gold bezel was upgraded from 14k to 18k white gold and the movement was vastly upgraded to the Rolex cal. 3035 quick-set movement. These Datejust variations are often referred to as being transitional as they still feature the more classic acrylic crystals whilst housing many advancements.

CASE & BRACELET
The excellent case is believed to remain unpolished, featuring strong factory dimensions and finishing, the case does show some lights signs of use. The unpolished 18k white gold fluted is in excellent condition as well. The watch comes supplied on a 2pc handmade leather strap.
DIAL & HANDS
The silver linen dial is in flawless original condition exhibiting no age or damage to the dial. The tritium lume plots have aged to a bright "pumpkin" patina with no degradation present when inspected under U.V. light. The original tritium hands match the dial perfectly with no degradation visible when inspected under U.V. light. The white date wheel is original with open 6's and 9's.
