The Rolex Datejust is one of the most iconic and most beloved Rolex watches ever made, even though the Datejust was launched in 1945 it has remained a timeless classic and is instantly recognizable as an item of refined quality and functional design. One of the largest evolutions for the Rolex Datejust model lineup was at the end of the 1970s with the introduction of the first "flat dial" Datejust. The movement was vastly upgraded to the Rolex cal. 3035 quick-set movement. These Datejust variations are often referred to as being transitional as they still feature the more classic acrylic crystals and tritium lume, whilst housing many advancements.

CASE & BRACELET
The impressive case shows signs of being gently polished in the past and retains thick, crisp, and symmetrical lugs that exhibit minimal signs of previous use. The stainless steel engine-turned bezel remains unpolished with almost no signs of use. The case back retains its original "IBM Quater Century Club" engravings in fully legible condition. The original Rolex 78360 Oyster bracelet with 558 end pieces retains 12 links that show only minimal stretch and will fit up to a 7 1/4 inch wrist but comes with one additional link as well.
DIAL & HANDS
The silver sunburst dial is classic and in perfect original condition, showing no damage or age. The tritium lume plots and hands match perfectly with a handsome creamy patina and neither show degradation under U.V. light inspection. The date wheel is original with open 6's and 9's.
ACCESSORIES
The watch comes with its original inner and outer boxes, booklet, an additional bracelet link, and serialized hangtag. The watch was recently serviced and is keeping time within COSC spec, backed by a 1-year warranty on accurate timekeeping.
