A magnificent Modernist lapis lazuli statement ring signed by Canadian artist Karl Stittgen. A monumental lapis sugar loaf stands proud in the 18k gold setting. The stone is bezel set in a substantial yellow-gold ring. A slim, concave frame of bright white gold rings the bezel, catching the light and captivating the eye. Wide cathedral shoulders taper slightly into a generous flat band. The band's interior is marked "Karl Stittgen" and bears Canadian hallmarks. Stunning, the lapis is the most perfect shade of blue. Circa 1970.

Details.....Currently a size 5.5. The top of the ring measures 22.2mm by 26.5mm, and the band is 5.3mm wide. Its profile is 17mm tall. In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels; we consider it part of the charm.
