On an extremely limited basis, Rolex manufactured timepieces featuring exotic materials. Such as dials made from various minerals, woods, and stone including; black onyx, burl wood, lapis lazuli, birch, fossil, coral, aventurine, and ferrite, among others… These exotic variants are always strikingly vivid with a minimalist design and each exotic variant was produced in very limited numbers. With rarity varying between materials, the more rare the material was, the less Rolex produced.
In 1988 Rolex released the cal. 3155 also known as the double "quick-set" which allows the quick setting of the day and date complications by rotating clockwise/counterclockwise while in position 2 making the setting of the watch quick and easy.
Good examples of these exotic Rolex Day-Date references have become exponentially harder to find because of a cult following surrounding them, and a lack of circulation due to the coveted value each unique dial retains. In other words, collectors love these watches and rarely sell them, so when they come up for sale it’s always special.

CASE & BRACELET
The unpolished 18k white gold case is in exceptional condition, showing only minimal signs of previous use. The smooth 18k white gold bezel is also extrememly with only faint signs of light previous use. The case retains its original white gold "two dot" crown. The case retains its original green case back sticker. The original 18k white gold Rolex President bracelet retains its original inner blue protective sticker, exhibits no stretch, and retains 22 links.
DIAL & HANDS
The beautiful blue lapis stone dial features diamond Arabic numerals at the 6 and 9 o'clock and is simply remarkable, showing no flaws or imperfections. The white gold 6 and 9 o'clock diamond markers are in perfect condition, the stones have been inspected with U.V. light for clarity and remain original. The original solid white gold hands remain in untouched condition.
ACCESSORIES
The watch comes complete with its original inner and outer boxes, Rolex warranty paper, booklets, and hang tags. The watch is keeping time within COSC spec.
